Athlete Info

Originally from the flat lands of Indiana, I have found an obsession in the mountains.  I have climbed extensively throughout the United States including Grade V big walls in The Black Canyon, Long’s Peak, and Zion National Park. My experience outside of the U.S. includes many peaks over 17,000ft in Bolivia, and Ecuador, as well as guided major alpine objectives in Africa and Argentina. Lately I have been traveling to more exotic climbing locals such as Armenia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
In 2009, I became the second  AMGA Certified Rock Guide working in the Southeastern U.S.  I also successfully completed the AMGA Advanced Alpine Guides Course in September of 2011 and received my Aspirant Alpine Guides Status.  I have taken the AMGA Ice Instructor Course, I am a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT), Leave No Trace Masters Educator, and have completed the AIRIE Level II Avalanche Course as well as the Canadian Avalanche Operations Level 1. I am in the Instructor Pool for the AMGA Single Pitch Instructor and Climbing Wall Instructor programs. I also volunteer for the Brevard Rescue Squad I am serving on the Board of Directors for the AMGA.
