Mt Whitney, California

Standing at 14,505 ft., Mt Whitney is the tallest peak in the Lower 48 States and provides great summer and winter alpine climbing.  Join me on a trip up the Mountaineer’s Route in April or up one of the 5.7 classic alpine rock climbs in the summer months.  For those of you wanting a longer trip and another summit, Mount Russell (14,094 ft.) is a great addition to Mt Whitney as well as a destination on its own!

All trips are run through Sierra Mountaineering International.

Hi Karsten. We met this summer through JHMG. I was with my family from Montreal. We had a great day of climbing on August 7. How can we have access to the pictures you took? You mentioned that you are associated with a group in NH that offer winter mountaineering trips, can you give me more information? Michel
